Maccabi Australia International Games (MAIGs)

At the end of this year, the 2^nd Maccabi Australia International Games will take place. These Games are fast becoming a highlight of the international Maccabi calendar. With the accommodation centre in the heart of Darling Harbour these Games will be a truly great experience. With teams expected from USA, Canada, Argentina, South Africa, Israel, Great Britain just to name a few, the competition is set to be hot. With outstanding venues booked, including the venues from the 2000 Olympics, you could ask for nothing more, so get involved and join Team Aus.

Social and Ceremonies

·       The Opening Ceremony will take place on the evening of the 26^th December 2010

·       Fantastic Teams Only event on the night of December 29^th

·       Spend New Year’s Eve in Sydney

·       The Closing Ceremony will take place on the evening of the 2^nd of January at a venue to be confirmed, but will not disappoint

 

Key facts:

·       Cost: $495 plus travel and accommodation. There will be a $200 premium charged for golf, cycling, triathlon

·       Travel to Sydney is your own personal responsibility. You need to be in Sydney before Sunday 26^th December as some competition will commence during the day of the 26^th. Internationals will be arriving on the 24^th.

·       Accommodation packages are available at two hotels in Darling Harbour. These prices are for 10 nights accommodation from Friday 24^th December, and include 3 meals per day and transport to and from sporting and social events. The options are $2250 p.p or $2750 p.p. Interstate athletes who are billeted or staying at other accommodation will not have transport or food provided.
